Charitable Giving

We strive to be a positive part of the local and global community through contributions to several organizations. We play an active role in these charities by showing our support with donations and participation in social committees and events.

ASHA for Education

Asha for Education is a secular, all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the education of underprivileged children in India. Asha’s volunteers are involved with and support projects that are secular and have an education-related component to them.

(Asha in Indian language means ‘Hope’. This hope helped the organization to grow from 3 volunteers since its inception in 1991 to over 1500 volunteers in 2009, with 73 chapters globally and 45 in the US. Asha has raised over $15 million as of 2008 and supported more than 400 different projects spanning 24 states in India, while maintaining minimal overhead.)

Bonobo Conservation Initiative

The Bonobo Conservation Initiative (BCI) is dedicated to ensuring the survival of the bonobo (Pan paniscus) and its tropical forest habitat in the Congo Basin. By working with indigenous Congolese people through cooperative conservation and community development programs, as well as on the national and international levels, BCI is establishing new protected areas and leading efforts to safeguard bonobos wherever they are found. BCI was recognized on December 16, 2009 during the 15th Conference of Parties to the UN Framerwork Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for its efforts to save a huge rainforest area in the Democratic Republic of the Congo that harbors the endangered bonobo, a great ape most closely related to humans.
